The State Council issued a document to solve the logistics problems of the tire industry

Recently, affected by the epidemic, the tire industry has encountered serious logistics and transportation problems.

At present, the transportation of raw materials and finished products of many tire companies is hindered by road control. With the increase in management and control, the number of truck drivers and vehicles traveling has gradually decreased, and the freight rate has risen. According to statistics, the inter-provincial short-haul freight in some regions has increased by about 10%, and the long-distance freight has increased by 20%.

The raw materials are difficult to enter and the finished products are difficult to come out. The operating rate of tire factories has declined to a certain extent. Data show that during the Qingming Festival, the operating rate of some all-steel tire factories was 49.10%, down 29.63% year-on-year. Although the overall operating rate of these factories increased after the holiday, the increase was limited.

There is good news recently. The State Council has issued a document requesting to speed up the rectification to ensure the smooth flow of freight and logistics. It is strictly forbidden for various local departments to block or close highways and waterways without authorization, and set up cards on the main lines of expressways; let alone restrict the passage of freight vehicles and drivers and passengers simply on the condition of vehicle registration and household registration. These measures are expected to alleviate the logistics and transportation problems of tire companies to a certain extent. (Article source: Tire World Network)
